Anette Göthlund
My background is in art history and visual culture studies. However, I did my PhD project at an interdisciplinary research department at Linköping University: Tema Kommunikation (Communication Studies) where I also became ethnographer and involved in youth culture studies. For my thesis I studied teenage girls and their everyday aesthetics and aesthetic learning processes. My research interests connect to learning, meaning-making and aesthetics in a broad sense. Both as researcher and teacher I prefer collaborative work where I can explore teaching and learning together with others. I’ve been professor in Visual Arts Education at the Department of Visual Arts and Sloyd Education, at Konstfack – University of Arts, Crafts and Design since 2005.
Meike Schalk
I am an architect, associate professor in Urban Design and Urban Theory at KTH School of Architecture and lead the project Full Loop. In my work, I examine spatial practices through a feminist and intersectional lens. My research interests include historical and contemporary shifts in the provision of welfare spaces, and policies in housing in Sweden and Vienna. As part of Aktion Arkiv (https://www.aktionarkiv.org/) I organize public oral history events, that provide a platform for actors and perspectives that are rarely highlighted. Between 2020-2023, I held an Anna Boyksen Fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Study – Technical University of Munich to raise gender- and diversity questions in STEM learning environments.
